Artist Jury Information

What is being juried in the Festival?
A juried competition means each participants' work is judged on the participants' efforts, by their artistic work, and how it is displayed in the booth.

Is it a requirement to be in the festival that my work be Juried?
No, this is only for artists in all media that wish to participate for recognition and prizes.

Why should I have my work Juried?
By successful participation winning artists are taken more seriously by art galleries, art buyers and art representatives. Montford Music and Arts Festival’s is considered a prestigious festival and winners are afforded not only ribbons but prizes.

What prizes can I expect to win?
In addition to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, place ribbons and designation, the first place winner receives a cash prize of $200 and a free booth at the next year’s festival, the second place winner receives a cash prize of $100 and the third place winner receives a cash prize of $50.

How do I enter and is there a special section of the festival for juried artists?
Simply mark your application and include the $45 jury fee with your regular booth payment. All juried artists have a special premium spot designation in the festival.
